Part Time IT Coordinator

The Part-Time IT coordinator will be responsible for deploying and maintaining hardware (like laptops), software, and providing technical support to CloudKettle team members.

This part-time role is a 15-20 hour per week position. Hours and days will be determined in conjunction with the successful candidate. All work will be completed onsite at the CloudKettle office in Halifax, NS on a CloudKettle provided MacBook.

Responsibilities

As a Part-Time IT Coordinator you will:

  • Assist in the deployment and maintenance of hardware, software and other solutions for CloudKettle team members
  • Research and provide advice on software updates and improvements in CloudKettle’s existing tech stack to leverage and deploy new features or security measures
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical support to team members
  • Provide advice on protocols and solutions for the use of IT across the company
  • Monitor system and network performance
  • Perform maintenance activities like updates and upgrades
  • Ensure IT documentation is kept up to date
  • Follow security procedures for the use of IT resources
  • Assist in CloudKettle adherence to SOC 2, HIPAA and other compliance frameworks
  • Participate in team meetings to communicate status and give recommendations
  • Assist with the planning and scheduling of ongoing training
  • Perform other ad-hoc projects or tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • This position is in Halifax, NS, Canada. It is not a remote position.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and can show proof of citizenship or visa
  • Experience with networking configuration and maintenance
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repairing IT issues in a help desk technical capacity
  • Experience configuring and deploying MacBooks and the G-Suite ecosystem is an asset
  • Experience using Jira is an asset
  • A college diploma or Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A well-developed sense of humor
