Remote, within the United States or Canada


As a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Solution Architect you will:

  • Design solutions to address business needs using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Design cross-platform integrations to enable best-practice architectural patterns for integrating Marketing Cloud into other business platforms (including CDP, CRM, DMP and ecommerce platforms).
  • Design and develop custom applications, content blocks, and journey builder activities on the Marketing Cloud platform.
  • Provide in-depth technical audits of clients’ Marketing Cloud instances, including recommendations and proposed solutions for identified issues.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to the Marketing Cloud team for best-practice development of programmable content scripting, journeys, API integration and marketing automation processes.
  • Provide QA, code reviews, and recommendations on solutions implemented for clients by other team members.
  • Contribute to documentation and training for clients’ marketing automation instances to help ensure they are well-maintained.
  • Design dashboards and reports to help analyze performance and discover where improvements to performance can be made.
  • Work with clients and other internal team members.


Proven experience in:

  • Data integration with data warehouses and data lakes for ETL processing in Marketing Cloud.
  • Creating sophisticated personalised content and journeys in Marketing Cloud.
  • Development and deployment of custom Marketing Cloud applications, content blocks, and journey builder activities.

Expert proficiency in:

  • SQL
  • JavaScript
  • AMPscript and SSJS scripting languages
  • Guide Template Language (preferred)
  • Marketing Cloud SOAP and REST APIs
  • Marketing Cloud Connect
  • Marketing Cloud data models, including Contact Model, Data Views and Data Extensions
  • Have attained the Marketing Cloud Developer and Marketing Cloud Consultant Certifications.
  • Familiar with Salesforce Sales Cloud data models.
  • 4+ years of experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Understand and have experience in planning, segmentation, targeting, execution, and analysis of marketing campaigns.
  • An understanding of email marketing and metrics.
  • Foundational knowledge or experience in Datorama and Interaction Studio is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion to become an expert in data-driven marketing automation.
  • Must be currently based in and legally eligible to work in the United States or Canada. NOTE: CloudKettle will not sponsor visas, work permits or relocation costs for this position.

Location and Travel

This position can be fully remote, within the United States or Canada, or based at CloudKettle’s head office in Halifax, NS, Canada.

This role includes the expectation of travel to the CloudKettle head office, some Salesforce events and client meetings. In total, the candidate should expect to be travelling up to 4-6 weeks of the year.

This remote position will allow you to join a collaborative and supportive environment and continue to grow your skills within the Salesforce ecosystem.
