Salesforce Developer

The Salesforce Developer will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, customization, and maintenance of client instances of Salesforce by:

  • Conducting requirements gathering, design, development, testing, documentation, and design of Salesforce instances and Salesforce integrated solutions
  • Overseeing the migration of data and new deployments
  • Providing best practice recommendations
  • Working with both staff and clients
  • Assist in training and in providing oversight to subcontractors

The successful candidate will work closely with other team members, vendors, and clients to ensure we prepare our clients for growth and ensure the stability of their Salesforce ecosystems, including third-party integrations. The ideal candidate will have a combination of Salesforce platform experience, technical capabilities and a solid understanding of core business processes.


The Salesforce Developer will provide day-to-day management of Salesforce ecosystems for CloudKettle clients by fulfilling the following:

  • Understand client needs and assist in translating their business requirements and processes into customized system functionality
  • Work with team members and stakeholders to drive efficiency for clients through business process automation, AppExchange installations, and 3rd party integrations
  • Develop and document Salesforce processes and procedures
  • Conduct org reviews surrounding Salesforce releases
  • Participate in client meetings to communicate status or give recommendations
  • Be keenly aware of timelines and budgeting to deliver in a timely manner

Experience Requirements

  • Legally eligible to work in Canada and can show proof of citizenship or visa
  • 2+ years experience configuring Salesforce applications
  • Experience customizing Salesforce using both declarative and coding methodologies, including, VisualForce, Apex, Triggers, Processes, Workflows and the Salesforce APIs
  • Salesforce Developer 1 and Administrator Certifications
  • Experience in requirement gathering, design, development, testing and documentation of Salesforce solutions for clients
  • Experience creating documentation and data models for implementations and migrations
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
  • A well-developed sense of humour

Must work full-time at our office location in Halifax. This is not a remote position.
