Get Familiar with Technologies Used by Fortune 500 Companies
As of 2021, 90% of Fortune 500 companies utilize Salesforce in some capacity. Whether for one application such as Marketing Cloud or their primary CRM platform, Salesforce is used by the best of the best.
This means that if you’re seeking a position with a Fortune 500 company (or within a company that works for a Fortune 500), being familiar with the tech can make your application all the more enticing to hiring staff.
Enhance your Capabilities to Increase Job Opportunities
As previously mentioned, Salesforce and its popularity among companies have been growing exponentially since being founded in 1999. Meaning, for over two decades the number of job opportunities provided by the CRM industry titan has been growing parallel to its usage.
You might think to yourself – “I have no interest in becoming a Salesforce Administrator or Developer, why should I care?”
Well, Salesforce has various applications and a variety of uses that you can familiarize yourself with. Even if you don’t have a desire to become an Admin or Developer, there are multiple other career routes for Salesforce professionals, and many of these skills are useful wherever your career takes you.
Free Training
Trailhead is an exciting training program that Salesforce offers. You can sign up for the website for free and start learning today – gathering points, badges and ranking up while doing so! Trailhead offers its users a fun way to learn and develop in-demand skills through completing modules, quizzes, hands-on projects, and videos.
For example, I currently have 24 badges and am the rank Explorer. As of late, I have been strengthening my knowledge across a variety of topics including Pardot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and other general skills.
Using Trailhead can make all the difference when you’re applying to positions at larger companies as the training the website provides is highly accredited. You can show off your learning by adding your Trailhead profile to your resume or LinkedIn profile – allowing hiring staff to see all of your relevant skills learned and badges acquired.
Increase Skills Used in Entrepreneurship
Entrepreneurship has become an increasingly popular career path for students over the past decade, and with the influx of e-commerce due to Covid-19, more buyers are purchasing online than ever before.
If you’re interested in becoming an entrepreneur in the future, sales and marketing are likely to be two key pieces of your business. Knowing the different applications and uses Salesforce can have within your business can help you propel your company to success!
