Tracking Salesforce Agentforce and Data Cloud Usage with Consumption Cards
In this video, Salesforce Practice Lead Ishan Babbar shares details on Salesforce Consumption Cards, and how they can be used to keep track of usage in Salesforce Data Cloud and Agentforce.
Transcript:
Hi! In this video we’ll talk a little bit about the digital wallet Salesforce provides, and in particular Consumption Cards.
So, with Agentforce and Data Cloud and these sorts of consumption-based tools, versus standard license-based tools, Salesforce provides Consumption Cards that allow you to see how much of your credentials or credits you have consumed. And in this particular case we have things for both Agentforce and Data Cloud on this screen.
Once you go to Consumption Cards you can see information such as:
- the amount of credits you’ve consumed and how many you have remaining the total credits
- start date and end date of your contract
- your contract itself and,
- any sort of consumption details.
Now, to give this access it’s pretty straightforward: you go to a user’s profile or create a new permission set for them, or edit an existing one, and give them the “view consumption” access.
So with this, they get access to consumption data, but they’re not necessarily able to see any invoices and contracts that you have with Salesforce. And once they’ve been given that permission, they can easily access this through Consumption Cards or through the Consumption Cards Tab and be able to see your Salesforce consumption, and keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn’t go too of control. And that’s pretty much it for this video, so I will see you next time!
