Hello everyone, I’m Sam Dar – a Salesforce Industries architect at CloudKettle.
Today we’ll be taking a quick look at how we can use OmniScript to build engaging and branded guided business processes.
Let’s meet CloudKettle Insurance, a global insurance company with its headquarters in Toronto, Canada. CloudKettle insurance would like to build a car insurance quote calculator on the experience site for prospective buyers to receive quotes and submit applications. Let’s go ahead and open up the OmniScript designer.
Here we can create new OmniScripts as well as update existing ones with clicks and not code. As we can see we’ve already started building the insurance quote OmniScript. We have a few different elements
in this OmniScript such as steps and DataRaptors. The steps are basically screens where we’ll ask our customers for different information in order to generate a quote. Once we receive all of the information from the customer, the OmniScript executes a DataRaptor action that basically sends the customer data into the system and returns back a personalized quote.
Let’s take a look at this in action. We’ll navigate to our experience site and click on “Request a Quote”.
Now this will launch the OmniScript that we just created. We’ll go ahead and start populating the OmniScript with our vehicle details.
We’ll provide some vehicle details here, and click on “Next”.
We’ll provide some vehicle information,
We’ll provide some information on how we’ll use the vehicle, the coverage start date, our driver details,
and lastly we’ll provide our insurance and claims history.
Now once we click on “Next” we can view our personalized quote.
When we click on “Submit inquiry” there is a new application record that is created for that customer.
Now, by navigating into Salesforce we can actually view the record and the customer service representative can begin processing the application.
So there you have it. That’s one way to use OmniScript to build engaging guided business processes that can help improve user experience and grow Revenue.
Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more Omniscript tips. We’ll see you next time.

The process of onboarding to a new Salesforce org is always a challenging task. Legacy systems often have many undocumented processes created by Salesforce Admins and Developers, which can make the initial assessment of an org difficult for new users responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the org. There is more than one way to […]
